TRAFFIC ALERT: The westbound lanes of SR-528 are shut down between Cocoa and Merritt Island due to a traffic homicide investigation in which a vehicle struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian is deceased on scene. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation. All westbound traffic is being rerouted at SR3 on the Merritt Island side and not allowed to cross. The road closure will be in place for several hours. Please use alternate routes.
