Detectives Investigate Shooting on Jackson St.
 
(Cocoa, FL)—Detectives are currently investigating a shooting that occurred just after midnight on Monday.  At 12:45 a.m. patrol officers responded to the intersection of SR-520 and U.S. 1 after the victim, a 30-year-old male, called 9-1-1 to report that he had been shot.  Further investigation revealed the shooting occurred in the 1200 block of Jackson St. The victim was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition. Detectives are currently following leads, interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence to determine the person or persons responsible for the shooting. No other details can be released. The investigation remains active an ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).  Callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 in this case.
