Traffic homicide investigators asking for help in locating the tractor-trailer involved in Thursday morning’s hit and run fatality. The tractor-trailer did not have a trailer attached. The cab is red, brown and black in color and should have damage to the front end. According to witnesses at the scene, the tractor trailer was traveling eastbound on Peachtree St. and turning left to head northbound on US1 when it hit a pedestrian. The pedestrian, an adult male, was walking westbound crossing US1, and was in the crosswalk when he was hit. If you see the tractor-trailer or have any information to help investigators locate it, please send a text or email to dropadime@cocoapolice.com. CRIMELINE callers will remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $5,000 in this case.

Traffic Alert: The NB lanes of US 1 are shut down at Peachtree St. due to hit and run crash involving a tractor trailer that hit and killed a pedestrian. Traffic homicide investigators are on the scene and patrol officers are rerouting traffic around the intersection. Please use caution in this area or use alternate routes. The road will be shut down for several hours.
