Monday, July 19, 2021 9 a.m. Chief to Walk Local Neighborhood in Second of Series of Community Conversations(Cocoa, FL)—Chief Evander Collier IV will host his second Community Walk on Wednesday, July 19
th beginning at 6 p.m. in a portion of the Royal Garden Homes neighborhood in District 2. Chief Collier will be joined by members of the police department command staff and members of city leadership along with elected representatives. The walk will begin at the Florida National Guard Armory, 308 Fiske Blvd. The walk will move east on School St. to Prospect Avenue then north to Mitchell St. turn west back toward Fiske returning to the Armory. Along the route, the chief and members of command staff will be knocking on doors, talking with neighbors, answering questions, sharing ideas and/or concerns and connecting with the community.
Immediately following the walk, there will be a community meeting at the Armory (details still pending) where neighbors can gather to hear about police activity in the area, code enforcement responses, and other relevant information about the police department and the services provided. The residents in Royal Garden Homes and surrounding neighborhoods are welcome to walk and attend the community meeting.
