Drugs and Firearms Seized in Proactive Enforcement to Combat Criminal Activity

(Cocoa, FL)—Two brothers were arrested earlier this week after ongoing surveillance operations discovered active drug transactions at a local park.  Luvern Harvey, (DOB 03/17/1969) of Merritt Island, and Levi Harvey, (DOB 02/17/1971) of Cocoa, were taken into custody on drug related charges. Luvern Harvey is facing charges of trafficking MDMA and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was found with approximately 28 grams of MDMA, marijuana individually packaged for sale, and two loaded firearms, one of which was reported stolen from Palm Bay.  Levi Harvey faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.  “We are going to continue to proactively monitor the activity in this park to make sure we address and resolve the issues and concerns in this area,” said Chief Evander Collier IV.  “This park belongs to the people of this community and we are committed to making it a safe place where they can enjoy time with neighbors, friends and family.”
