Deputy City Clerk Arsenault earns Clerk Designation (CMC) and is promoted to City Clerk

Monica Arsenault, CMC of the City of Cocoa, has earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC), which is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), Inc. It was also announced that she was promoted to fill the role of City Clerk. 

IIMC grants the CMC designation only to municipal clerks who complete demanding education requirements; and have a record of significant contributions to their local government, community, and state. The International Institute of Municipal Clerks, founded in 1947, has 14,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, and 15 other countries, and the mission of this global non-profit corporation is to enhance the educational opportunities and professional development of its diverse membership. 

Monica has served the residents of Cocoa for ten years. She began her career with the City of Cocoa in the Office of Economic Development, then in the Building Department, and then finally filled the role of Deputy City Clerk where she has served since 2017. She has been serving as Interim City Clerk since the summer of 2023.
