The CRA owns the property at 603 Brevard Avenue and, in accordance with the CRA’s Redevelopment Plan, seeks to redevelop the property as a vibrant, active, dynamic keystone site that will further the Community Redevelopment Agency’s goals and objectives. The City desires a project that has the ability to provide adaptable mixed-use development on the site. This mixed-use development may include any combination of hotel, residential, civic, office, retail, or commercial components. This RFP has been issued in accordance with Section 163.380, Florida Statutes. As such, the CRA shall consider all such proposals consistent with this RFP and the financial and legal ability of the persons making such proposals to carry them out; and the CRA may negotiate with the selected proposer for the purchase, lease, or other transfer of the subject property for purposes of constructing a mixed-use project and meeting the objective of this RFP.
A pre-proposal conference will be held at 10:00AM EST on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Cocoa City Hall located at 65 Stone Street, Cocoa, FL 32922 with a site tour to immediately follow. Attendance is optional.
Responses to this solicitation must be either mailed or hand delivered to Cocoa City Hall and received before 3:00PM EST on December 15, 2023. Responses will then be publicly opened and read aloud shortly thereafter at Cocoa City Hall, in the 3rd floor conference room.
All services performed shall be in accordance with the specifications in the solicitation, which may be examined at the office of the Purchasing Manager, located at 65 Stone St., Cocoa, Florida 32922. The solicitation documents are available on-line at no charge via the City of Cocoa online bidding platform, http://www.myvendorlink.com, and posted as public notice on the City’s website. The City reserves the right to reject any or all /proposals, with or without a cause; to waive technical errors and informalities; and to award proposals to the highest rated responsive and responsible proposer. One or more of the City Council members may be present at the proposal opening.
