Thomas Cole Stormwater Recreation Area Dedication Ceremony

Cocoa City Council unanimously approved a resolution to rename the Emma Jewel/Diamond Square CRA Master Stormwater Recreation Area after the founder and leader of the Emma Jewel Charter Academy, Mr. Thomas Cole. This recreation area was previously leased by Emma Jewel Charter Academy as part of the Academy's grounds. In 2017, through a collaboration with Mr. Cole and Emma Jewel Charter Academy, the City of Cocoa moved forward to purchase the property to construct a master stormwater facility to better serve the redeveloping residential and commercial properties in that area of the Diamond Square community.

Join us as we honor Mr. Cole and his contribution to the Diamond Square community.
