A group dedicated to community service, goodwill, and peace in the world

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders.  Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.  Worldwide there are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

Locally, the Cocoa Rotary club is dedicated to service in the community through programs and events such as “Josh The Otter”, which demonstrates water safety to local elementary schools, and raising funds for the Cocoa Boys and Girls Club and the Central Brevard Sharing Center, as well as other local charities.
The Cocoa Rotary Club was instrumental in obtaining the building that the Cocoa Boys and Girls Club utilizes and continues to raise funds for the organization and its many programs it offers for the youth in our community.

For the past three years, Cocoa Rotary has held a large concert in Riverfront Park or the Cocoa Village Playhouse, called Cocoa Party in Park which has  raised funds for the Cocoa Boys and Girls Club.  The first concert was the idea of Rotarian Mike Arnold and featured the Doobie Brothers as the headlining performers at Riverfront Park.  That first year, Cocoa Rotary was able to raise $35,000 for the Cocoa Boys and Girls Club.

They hope to surpass that donation- this year, with the help of Deuterman Productions, Cocoa Rotary has secured eleven-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson to perform at Cocoa’s Riverfront Park on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 4pm.  Tickets are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/jamey-johnson-tickets-39968070575.  VIP tickets include food from local Cocoa Village restaurant, Cryderman’s BBQ.

Cocoa Rotary has also helped with the City of Cocoa’s annual food drive to help stock the shelves of the Central Brevard Sharing Center during the month of December.
