I'm Redeemed Outreach Ministries - Trash Bash

Posted on April 11, 2016 at 9:10 AM by Samantha Senger

Sylvia Smith, Pastor at I’m Redeemed Outreach Ministries and her ministry children are this quarters volunteer spotlight. Ms. Smith and her kids volunteer each year to help the City of Cocoa pick up trash for the annual Trash Bash event held in
conjunction with Keep Brevard Beautiful.

This annual event organizes hundreds of volunteers throughout the City to pick up trash and keep our community beautiful.  Thousands volunteer for this event county-wide. Ms. Smith has organized 45 people to assist with this year’s Trash Bash event that will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 8am-2pm.  Groups are sent out at 8am to begin the trash clean-up and then return to the Civic Center in Cocoa Village at noon for lunch that is donated by the Merritt Island Chick-fil-A.

If you are interested in participating in this year’s Trash Bash event on April 16th, please contact NeoDasha Harris with the City of Cocoa’s Leisure Services Division at (321) 635-7702 or nharris@cocoafl.org. She is taking registrations now for both groups and individuals that are interested in volunteering.

A great big thank you to Sylvia Smith and her kids at I’m Redeemed for all they do to help the City of Cocoa!
