The City of Cocoa is preparing for the possible threat of Tropical Storm Isaias to our community over the next few days. Employees have been preparing by fueling and equipping their vehicles to be response ready, cleaning out storm drains, lowering stormwater ponds to handle additional water, riding around to look out for any loose debris that may be out in the community and preparing sand piles for residents to make their own sand bags. Sand piles are located at Rosa L Jones Blvd. and West Railroad, Plaza Parkway across from Bracco Pond, and northeast of the Sunoco on State Road 524. Please make sure you prepare yourself and your family for this storm event.
City staff is still monitoring the progress of Tropical Storm Isaias. Stay up to date with the latest information by visiting www.CocoaFL.org/hurricane.
