Police Department Lobby Update/Covid-19 Operations:

Effective Tuesday, May 19th, The Cocoa Police Department Lobby will reopen to the public on a limited capacity basis. We will resume normal operating hours, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. It is strongly encouraged anyone wishing to request police reports to continue to do so by Email.

Anyone wishing to file a police report and/or to speak with an officer may also call the department’s non-emergency number at 321-639-7620 for assistance. For emergencies, continue to use 911.

The lobby will have limited seating in accordance with the CDC recommended guidelines for social distancing.


Responsibilities


The Cocoa Police Department Records Section is responsible for:
  • The maintenance of all reports made to the Cocoa Police Department
  • The completion of criminal background checks
  • The processing of requests for copies of police reports and records

Online Access to Public Records:

All public records filed within the Cocoa Police Department are available online 24/7 through the Brevard County Clerk of Court. The Brevard County Clerk of the Circuit Court (the “Clerk”) is pleased to offer online access to court records pursuant to Florida Supreme Court Administrative Order 14-19. Please be aware that some case information may not be available to all users in accordance with court order, AOSC 14-19, the Florida Statutes, and the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration.
