Officer Christopher Ferrante

Officer Ferrante was hired by the department on July 17, 1994, as a patrol officer. On October 25, 1995, Chris was assigned to the Traffic Services (motorcycle) Unit. He quickly distinguished himself as a very competent rider, eventually becoming a motorcycle skills instructor.

Nominations & Awards

Chris is a member of the Cocoa Police Department SWAT Team, and assists with the Marine Unit. He has competed in the Florida Law Enforcement Games, winning a gold medal and a silver medal in the motorcycle competition. He was selected as the department's Officer of the Quarter in the second quarter of 1999, and nominated as Safety Employee of the Quarter in the fourth quarter of 1998. He has received eighteen letters of commendation from citizens, and eleven letters of commendation from fellow officers and supervisors.
