Bidding Information

The City of Cocoa has contracted with Onvia to use the Onvia DemandStar system to host the City's bid list and provide procurement information services to vendors. Onvia is a private company that provides bid and proposal solicitation notification service through the Internet for a fee.


Vendors may register to receive notification of solicitations for bids, proposals, and quotes from the City of Cocoa, free of charge, by visiting the Onvia DemandStar Registration website. Once you are logged onto the page, select the “Onvia DemandStar FREE AGENCY” option. On the form that opens, enter the pertinent information for your business, be sure to enter “City of Cocoa” in the Agency Name field. Vendors will need to register on DemandStar and select a subscription service that includes the City of Cocoa to receive procurement information from the City. Those vendors that want to receive notification of bid and proposal solicitations from institutions beyond the City of Cocoa have the option to select service that is appropriate for their needs.

Bid Information

Vendors who want to determine which goods and services are being sought for purchase by the City of Cocoa can do so in several ways:
  • "Invitations to Bid" and "Requests for Proposals" are published in the FloridaToday newspaper, generally on Thursdays. The Published Advertisement can be viewed after the publishing date by clicking on the link.
  • The City's bids are posted online at the DemandStar website, which offers automatic bid notifications via e-mail to members; and per-page, fee-based downloads of all bids for non-members.
