SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN VEHICLE BURGLARY CAUGHT ON CAMERA
Two suspects captured on a homeowner’s security camera breaking into a vehicle and stealing a firearm are currently being sought. The burglary occurred sometime between 8 and 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3rd in the 900 block of Varr Avenue. According to the victim, he arrived home around 8 a.m. Tuesday and left his vehicle unlocked in the driveway. Approximately 45 minutes later he went to lock the doors but did not immediately check to see if anything was missing. Later in the day the victim went into his vehicle and noticed items were scattered throughout and his handgun was missing from the glove box. After reviewing the video from his security camera the victim saw two unidentified black males, one on a bicycle, circling the roadway in front of his home. The video then shows one of the males entering the vehicle while the other circled the roadway on the bicycle appearing to act as a “lookout”. Moments later the video shows the male exit the vehicle examining something in this hand. The other male runs over and appears to take the item and conceal it. Both male suspects are then seen leaving the area heading south on Varr Avenue. The suspects are described as two black males, both are thin and appear to be juveniles. One male has a short fade hair style with a black long sleeve jacket containing a white stripe down the sleeves. The other male appears to have short “dreads” or may be wearing some type of hat.
