The next General Election for the City of Cocoa will be November 6, 2018. Seats up for election are:
  • District 1
  • District 4

*There will also be a Special Election that will be held in conjunction with the General Election for the Mayor's seat* 

The Qualification period for November 6, 2018 Election will be Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Noon until Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Noon.

Packets for All seats can be obtained by visiting the Office of the City Clerk, located in Cocoa City Hall, 65 Stone Street, in Cocoa, Florida.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Special Election for the Mayor seat and a General Election for Districts 1 & 4 seats will be held in and for the City of Cocoa, Florida, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and Council Members for Districts 1 & 4.  The Mayor elected in the Special Election will serve a 2 year unexpired term and Council Members elected in the General Election will serve new 4 year terms.

The Qualifying Period for this General Election will be from Tuesday, August 7th at Noon until Tuesday, August 21st at Noon.

  Candidates for Office


    In order to be eligible to run for office (council seat):
  • Must reside in that district, or in an area which has been annexed by the City of Cocoa
  • Have lived at such address for at least one year immediately preceding qualification
  • Must be registered to vote in the State of Florida
