Responsibilities
The division is responsible for long-range planning activities such as the management and update of the City's Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Regulations.

We also coordinate all current planning and development review activities, including:

Site plan approval Subdivision review Rezoning Variances Concurrency Management

Waivers Special exceptions Ordinance amendments Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR)

Mission Statement
The mission of the Planning and Zoning Division is to facilitate the advancement of a diverse and sustainable Cocoa through the development, recommendation, and administration of policies that facilitate smart growth, redevelopment, environmental protection, and innovative urban design.
